Comfy Outfit Inspiration

I originally had an idea for a post like this when I stared my blog a few months back and I wanted it to go up during the end of May to give some ideas on what to wear during finals week. However now I’m thinking time is of the essence. Considering we are all locked inside due to social distancing and self quarantining (something we all should be practicing if we can) I think its perfect timing for some comfortable outfit inspiration to be debuted. I in no way intend for this post to come across tone deaf or in poor taste as I understand there are much more pressing issues going on in the world beyond how to dress. However I do think as majority of us (that have the ability to) are working/ schooling from home that it is important to get up and get dressed each day, as doing so has the effect of making us feel more productive and therefore having a normal as possible day. So I decided to give my comfy outfit recs as well as some of my favorite self care activities that have kept me feeling most normal in these odd times.

Outfit One:Pleaded dress pants and a crewneck

This outfit is one that I love because the pleated pants are essentially just elevated sweatpants (what’s not to love) and the crewneck sweatshirt is ultra comfortable. So this outfit is just a more dressed up version of a sweatsuit. Whats not to love?

Outfit Two:

Comfy Shorts with a comfy crop top

This outfit is great for feeling cute whilst also being comfy, its great if its warm out where you are right now or you want to go outside (in your backyard or on a safe walk) and you want to get some UV rays on your body because of how cooped up you’ve been ;)

Outfit Three:

Matching sweatsuit

All of the IG girls have been posting videos of them doing tik tok dances in the CUTEST matching sweatsuits, they all appear to be the brand HALOTIED and I definitely think I will be ordering some of these sweatsuits in the VERY near future.

Outfit Four:

Sweatsuit with a blazer and other accessories

I think this is the ultimate way to wear a simple sweatsuit, with a sleek blazer and a full jewelry regiment. I think if you want to feel your full dressed up self whilst still remaining comfy this is for sure the way to do it. I have been wanting to wear an outfit like this for a while but sadly I don’t have a matching set, but soon I for sure will!

Outfit Five:

Loose jeans and a big sweater

This outfit is perfect for a day indoors listening to your favourite happy songs baking cookies and watching rom coms. I feel like we all have something like this in our closets and its just the perfect getting dressed but not really outfit for this time.

Self Care Ideas:

Watch a Rom Com: Nothing makes you feel the same type of way the end of a rom com does, it’s just a fact. When Harry Met Sally, Dirty Dancing and Tootsie are my top picks

EXTRA skin care routine: Getting into fuzzy socks and a fuzzy sweatshirt and doing a extra long, all the face masks, ultra face massage, blackhead removal, moisture surge skincare routine is the ultimate self care night activity, and what better time than the present.

Go for a walk and do yoga: I have been doing this every day I have been social distancing and it has been a really nice way of still feeling connected.

Facetime a friend: I may or may not be guilty of doing this a little TOO much, but its a great way to keep in touch with your friends while still remaining safe.

Binge watch a thrilling TV show: Watch YOU and The Politican on Netflix and you will understand why Im saying this. So good. TOO GOOD.

So there it is, some outfit ideas along with self care activities, hope you enjoyed :)
