What I’ll be wearing in 2021

I’m so excited about fashion in 2021. I loved everything that was trending in 2020 and I’ve been loving all of the trend predictions I’ve seen thus far in 2021. I wanted to do an outfit of the week post featuring some styles, pieces, and aesthetics that I’m going to be wearing a lot of in 2021. So without further ado here is my outfits of the week, 2021 edition!

Monday: On Monday I wore one of my trend predictions for 2021: turtlenecks and mock-necks under polos. I feel it's the natural progression of both turtlenecks and polos being work under crewnecks and I will be interested to see how this trend progresses and if/when it catches on. Anyway, I paired this with my black corduroy mini-skirt and black booties. I wore my hair in pigtails and because I wore this look to the park I wore my rediscovered-fresh from the black of my closet leopard print furry jacket. It's my new favorite thing and you are going to be seeing A LOT more of it on here.

Tuesday: On Tuesday I wore a look that was a mix of Moschino RTW 2013, Gossip Girl, and a slight twist of nun(??) I see it. Anyways I wore my fave cream-colored vintage collared blouse (I mean the lapels speak for themselves.) So I wore that under a black cropped long-sleeve and paired it with a long black skirt. I wasn't thinking about shoes for this because I was just planning on staying inside all day BUT I decided to go outside (shocking) so I just threw on some white converse and they worked with the outfit!

Wednesday: To be completely honest, on Wednesday I WANTED to wear this new top that I got in the mail from Zara however the zipper was being fussy and I was over it. So instead I wore a grey knit turtleneck with this pink-white-black and grey vintage Vera Wang tye-dye ish top that I stole from my mom's closet. I kept with the casual feel by wearing some dark grey pleated pants that feel like sweats and then pink converse to pick up on the pink into the top.

Thursday: On Thursday I was very happy with my outfit. I layered my peter-pan collar blouse, which is one of my fave pieces to layer with under my gunmetal silver dress, which is also my one of my fave piece to layer with. I tucked my locket under the collar because I love that look. It's very private school chic and the locket is a great pop to add some more layers especially for zoom. I just wore my white converse again because they are comfy and easy to pair with anything. My hair was a crucial part of this look as I tied it back in two half-up pigtails to add to that private school girl in the city aesthetic.

Friday: As you can see I am CLINGING onto the schoolgirl trend of the 2nd half of 2020. I was obsessed with my outfit on Friday I had a different outfit picked out first but then I decided to switch it up last minute and I am VERY happy that I did. I wore a black bodysuit layered over a white dress shirt and then I tucked this into a plaid skirt. I think it could’ve been even cuter if I layered the shirt and black tank OVER the skirt, however as the blacktop is a bodysuit, I couldn't do that. I wore some black under the knee boots and as it was chilly out I wore a trench coat when I went on a walk and I felt SO chic.

Thank you for reading! See you all next week!
