Outfits of the Week
As we make the transition from winter to spring our wardrobe makes a transition too. In my case I go from a dark academia to an ethereal aesthetic, here are the outfits I wore in a week, bridging the gaps between these two styles.
PS: I also tried to make sure everything I linked that wasn't direct to what I was wearing was to an ethical company. The Good Trade was a great source in helping me do that!
Monday:
On Monday I wanted to wear the thrifted slip I had just purchased as a skirt, because I already wore it as a top a few weeks back. I paired it with a cerulean cardigan to juxtapose the sheer satin skirt and topped the outfit off with my super old white converse that I scrawled Call Me By Your Name quotes all over. Although this outfit would have been cute with black Oxford Doctor Martens.

Tuesday:
I was going through my moms closet (something I frequently do when looking for outfit inspiration, highly recommend). And I found this darling long black skirt. I just threw in a white cropped tee and my favorite leather jacket to add a “biker chic” mix to the skirt and tied the outfit off with black converse to complete the all black and white look.

Wednesday:
For Wednesday I wanted to pull inspiration from an outfit I have seen Cher wear in the iconic “Clueless” movie. By pairing a plaid skirt with a collared dress shirt (NOT TUCKED IN). This outfit is really interesting to me because it goes along and breaks the simple school girl aesthetic because the shirt is not tucked in. I really like Cher’s style and I think it is the perfect inspiration for this time of year.

Thursday:
My incredible friend and blog supporter Sasha bought me this stunning vintage blouse in London (Im so obsessed.) She was with me when I bought my favorite leather pants and she says she pictured them together in an outfit and she was so right. The vintage classic of the blouse mixed with the modern edge of the black pleather high waisted pant. I love it. I elevated the outfit a little more with my black heeled booties.

Friday:
On Friday I also took some “Clueless” outfit inspiration, by layering a cardigan and shirt of the same color and pairing it with a pair of jeans. For outfit inspiration I look on Pinterest and this week I was getting a lot of Cher’s outfits content so I worked with it. In all honesty I think this style is super casual and a really cute way to get some vintage energy into a modern outfit.
